The Next Step in Our Journey

A note from our CEO

For those of you who have been closely following our team over the last seven years (or more), you know that we have been on a journey that has been fueled by our passion for creating innovative technologies, motivated by our mission to build something meaningful and impactful for our world.

In October 2021, we announced that Starry was moving forward with a business combination with FirstMark Horizon Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) sponsored by an affiliate of FirstMark Capital, that would take the company public.

I’m pleased to announce that we have completed that transaction and as of today, Tuesday, March 29, Starry is officially a publicly-traded company on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “STRY.”

The recent market volatility combined with increasing geopolitical complexity has created an especially challenging environment for taking companies to the public markets. But, even in these uncertain times, this remains true: broadband access is more essential than ever and Starry is committed to delivering on our mission to bring high-quality, affordable internet access to as many communities as we can.

That means we will continue to be laser-focused on providing our customers with an internet service experience that delights. It also means that we will continue to invest in developing advanced technologies that enhance our network and the service we provide. Importantly, it also means that we will continue to invest in and expand the reach of our digital equity program, Starry Connect, so that our public and affordable housing families can benefit equally from connectivity in their communities.

Becoming a public company is a powerful and important step forward for Starry. I am deeply proud of the company that we have built and grateful for the continued support and deep interest in our company.
