Starry Text/SMS Terms & Conditions
Last updated March 29, 2019
With your permission Starry utilizes SMS, or text messages, to send important information to you about our service. This is a helpful way for us to easily communicate information to you that you have asked to receive. Note that texts may be automated. Carrier message and data rates may apply.*
When you provide us with your phone number in order to send you SMS messages, we will explain to you the type of information that we would like to send you over SMS. We collect phone numbers and ask for your consent to send you SMS messages in two scenarios:
when you sign up to receive updates on the availability of our service in your building, we will ask for your consent to send you SMS messages regarding our service and updates on service availability in your building; and
when you sign up for service (hooray!) we will ask for your consent to send you SMS messages about your installation appointment and any necessary service visits.
In both scenarios, we may also send you transactional messages. We will not send you SMS messages for other reasons, and we will not share your phone number with any third party for their marketing use (see our Privacy Notice for details on the information we collect and the steps we take to protect it).
To stop receiving texts from Starry at any time you can reply to the number it was sent from with the word STOP. If have previously chose to stop receiving messages and wish to receive messages again, you can reply to the number with the word START.
If you have any further questions about Starry Internet or our SMS notifications, please contact our Support Team by phone at 1.888.231.9403 or by email at support@starry.com.
